چکیده

Evaluation of the ultimate strength for UHPFRC (ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete) flexural members was conducted. In this study, an experimental program about beams conducted with effect fiber volume fraction, shear span to depth ratio, and compressive matrix as main variables. Among them, it found that fraction variable had greatest influence on strength. The inclusion 2% steel increases significantly. particular, changed mode failure from diagonal into failure. For classification patterns, were evaluated using current design code UHPC guidelines. Flexural affected by size shape stress block consideration matrix’s tensile accurate prediction beams, high should be considered.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Experimental investigation of the strength of glass fiber-reinforced concrete exposed to high temperature

This study investigated the effects of high temperature exposure on the compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths of concrete containing glass fiber. A total of 108 cubic specimens (150 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm), cylindrical specimens (300 mm × 150 mm), and prismatic specimens (500 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm) were prepared for compressive, tensile, and flexural strength testing, respectively. The spec...

Modeling for the Evaluation of Strength and Toughness of High-performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete

This paper presents the multivariate linear models for the evaluation of compressive, flexural and splitting tensile strengths, and toughness ratio of high-performance steel fiber reinforced concrete (HPSFRC). In this study, 44 series of concrete mixes with varying silica fume replacement and fiber dosage (Vf = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5%) were considered. Test results indicated that addition of fib...

Feasibility of Reducing the Fiber Content in Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete under Flexure

In this study, the flexural behavior of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is examined as a function of fiber length and volume fraction. Straight steel fiber with three different lengths (lf) of 13, 19.5, and 30 mm and four different volume fractions (vf) of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0% are considered. Test results show that post-cracking flexural properties of UHPFRC, suc...

Flexural Testing of High Strength Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with CFRP Sheets

The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of externally bonded CFRP sheets to increase the flexural strength of reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) beams. Four-point bending flexural tests to complete failure on six concrete beams, strengthened with different layouts of CFRP sheets were conducted. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) models were adopted by A...
